Mirrors

This dresser is in my bedroom (hence the intruding foot board). I have been looking for a piece of art to hang above the dresser. I have wanted something that hangs tall. The wall seems so blank behind this dresser. I had an extra mirror and decided to place it behind the dresser, just leaning against the wall. It really reflects the light from the french doors to the right and brightens up the room. It also reflects the white pip berry arrangement and makes it look fuller.

Give this a try in a room where something is needed behind a piece of furniture. I think you'll like the results.

O.K. so I am catching up on my Home Sweet Home Inspiration fix(love your blog if you hadn't guess...your design/decor/color/eye for detail) and I love your new green cupboard and would absolutely love it if you would share the color code for your green paint. I just bought a bunch of old drawers at an antique store and I'm thinking this is the color I would like to use on them. Thanks...

Don't ya just love mirrors! That one looks great there! I had a big bare spot in my bathroom. The wall beside my spa tub needed SOMETHING. I had planned for years to do one of those faux wallpaper Tuscan windows with the view of the vinyard or harbor or SOMETHING!! I found a big, framed mirror at a garage sale for 5 bucks and thought I would just TRY it there. Well, I L*O*V*E it there. It makes the small bathroom seem twice as large and light. Plus it gives me a double view of all my favorite pretties while I am soaking, hehee!

Hi Miss Karol! Love that whole arrangement. The chest is beautiful! I like having mirrors around the house. The other day I wondered when it's too many...and what does it say if I like mirrors...not like I actually look in them all the time. They just brighten up a room so much! :)

Oh I just love the way mirrors brighten up any spot and they also really bounce light and magnify a space. I Love yours behind the dresser. Just lovely. Hugs, Marty
