I'm not finished sharing about Country Home magazine yet! When I get the new issue of Country Home I first leaf through the pages quickly, looking at all the beautiful homes, rooms, gardens, ideas, etc. Then I look for Karen Weir-Jimerson's article, "Slow Lane". I love her writings. She writes of life on her Iowa farm. She's very funny and her stories are always heartwarming.You can read her blog (by clicking here), which she mentions the newest "Slow Lane" story from the October issue called "Blowing in the wind", about a local windmill restorer, Jim Boll. I love Karen for the same reasons you do. I am currently trying to find one of her past articles(april or may 2007/ country living) I accidentally threw out the magazine. The article was about an heriloom garden. Something to the effect of a new gardener taking over an old gardeners garden. If you can help I"d appreciate it:)
