My Kitchen Hutch

(before & after)

I painted my hutch green over red. I then sanded the edges to give it an aged look. I changed out the 80's hardware with some cute handles and pulls I found at Lowe's.

I love the new colors in my kitchen. It has encouraged me to go lighter and brighter and more cottage in my decor.

Thanks to everyone that has followed as I have decided on colors and ideas, painted for weeks, and posted detail after detail.

Roxanne commented (so very sweetly) on this color I used on my hutch and requested the color code. I thought I would share here. I bought the paint at Wal Mart mostly because I happen to be there for other things and I thought "what the heck", found a great color I liked in the paint swatches and had it mixed.

Paint Brand: Wal Mart ColorPlace Interior Latex Satin Wall & Trim (Accent Base 37142)

Color: Basil 94282

Codes: C 2 46, D 30, KX 7 44, L 2

Be Inspired! -Karol :0)

This is inspiring. Such a great job. I love the green and the handles you chose are perfect. There's nothing like a little bit of 'cottage' to brighten a home.
